1938

Fournier et frères opens for business.

1970 to 1972

Fournier et frères becomes L. Fournier et fils (Fournier & sons). Two generations work together in excavation, road construction, crushing, civil engineering, and related sectors.

1979

Fournier embarks on a major and successful diversification, opening its first ready-mix concrete plant.

1993

A new division is added: bagged concrete and shotcrete.

1994

The company builds a second ready-mix concrete plant. The company’s founder, Léo Fournier, dies.

1998

Fournier begins transporting bulk cement and opens a transfer station in Mont-Laurier to ensure its supply and to offer services to mining companies in the region.

2012

Seeking new challenges, the company establishes a partnership with a Cree company in the community of Mistissini. The Fournier subsidiary Swallow-Fournier is born.

2013

With the same appetite for success as ever, Fournier celebrates its 75th birthday.

2015

Fournier acquires the Sigma mine, in partnership with Integra Gold.

2016

Fournier acquires the world’s largest mobile crusher, the Goliath 1500 M.

2019

Winner of the Award “Contribution to the Regional and Economic Development” at the Mercuriades Competition organized by the Quebec Federation of chambers of Commerce.
